Both Super Station Masters were only used as a test to see what I could hear, never had plans to use them in my Sat station. I do realize the pattern of the Super Station Master’s and the fact that they are vertical polarity, where I need circular polarity and directional. The 70 cm Cellwave Super Station master tuned on Ham repeater frequencies is a DUD. No 70 cm signals from any 70 cm bird are received at all……period. So I am encouraged with what I see/hear on AO-91&92Ģ. Being the first time I have ever listened to the Amateur Satellites, its amazing how the frequency is dead, then as the bird gains higher angle over the north east, its like turning a switch, the frequency comes alive with lots making contacts. When the birds are passing over mid america signal is weaker and noise is present yet useable. Birds that are reasonably close overhead are as solid as the 146.73 repeater 30 miles from me. LOS is early as the angle decreases to below the 10 degrees or so. Due to summer heavy foliage AOS is delayed until the bird is up to 10 degrees or a little more. AO 91 & 92 are received on the Cellwave 2 meter super station master quite well. Your words thru out this adventure were most helpful and encouraging.ġ. I just want to bring everyone up to date on what I have been doing, found results and where I am heading. Its now been quite a while since my first post, though I read all the time.
